Year of the Trail
North Carolina is the Great Trails State, where each of our 100 counties enjoys the proven benefits of trails, including health, safety, economic development, tourism, transportation, and environment. 2023 is the NC Year of the Trail, meant to celebrate North Carolina’s vast network of trails, greenways, and blueways which showcase our diverse landscapes. Youth Art Contest
To celebrate Year of the Trail, the stormwater education program for the region Stormwater SMART has a trail inspired art contest for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in counties that participate in the program from March 10 to June 18.
