North Carolina is one of the five most visited wine and culinary tourism states. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Yadkin Valley in the NC Triad has the best selection of wineries and vineyards that offer something for everyone. You can enjoy a relaxing day sipping wine, make a weekend out of it with wine tasting and romantic scenery, or embark on a unique llama trek and wine tasting adventure. The North Carolina Department of Agriculture has recognized this area as a "unique and valuable wine-growing region." Yadkin Valley wineries are rapidly gaining a reputation for growing high-quality grapes and producing world-class, award-winning wines.
