Activities

Nourishment doesn’t come just from food but also from nature, exploration, and time spent with loved ones in the NC Triad. Here, we value fun, the outdoors, and the coming together of people through our year-round activities and attractions, from ziplining to water parks. So, pack your trail mix, sunblock, and water, and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime with your favorite people.

Go on a Zipline Adventure

See the world from a different perspective, high above tree canopies on a ziplining adventure. The Triad has plenty of local outfitters ready to give thrillseekers the ride of their lives.

Choose from one of several ziplining attractions across the Triad, like Kersey Valley Zipline Aerial Tours in Archdale. Add obstacle courses to your zipline excursion at the Air Hikes Ropes Course in the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, a favorite destination for families with over 1,800 animals on-site.

Fun for Everyone

Encounter wild animals at the zoo. Slip and slide down water slides. Paddle your way down the river or spend a day fishing. With so many things to do with kids in the Triad, they will sleep soundly after a fun-filled day at our parks and attractions.

Our state and local parks offer plenty of family-friendly activities, from biking and picnicking, and host numerous events throughout the year.

If you plan on visiting in the summertime, make water-soaked memories at the many seasonal water parks and splash pads in the area. Wet ‘n Wild Emerald Pointe in Greensboro features nearly 40 water rides and attractions for all ages, from splash pad areas and small slides for children to 40-foot drops and raging rapids for thrillseekers.

Explore on Bike, Paddleboard or Segway

One of the best ways to explore the Triad is to join a self-guided or group tour on foot, a bike, or even a segway.

From Burlington to Winston-Salem, many of our cities feature bike and scooter sharing programs that allow locals and visitors a chance to see the sights in ways you can’t do in a car. With countless bike lanes, sidewalks, and multi-use trails and pathways, it’s easy to explore every nook and cranny of our cities.

If you’d like to join a group tour, there are countless local outfitters ready to show you the area, like Triad Eco Adventures, which offers tours (on land and water) via segways, electric bikes, and stand-up paddleboards.

Rally your family and friends and find fun, community, and nourishment through our activities.
