Yadkin Valley Scenic Byway MapThe Yadkin Valley Scenic Byway travels through Surry and Yadkin Counties.  Along this route, travelers experience rolling hills and a grand view of the Pilot Mountain Knob for much of the trip.  There are many vineyards and wineries along this route as it is also located in the heart of North Carolina's wine country.  The route beings on Round Peak Church Road, just west of Mount Airy in Surry County.  Traveling southwest, motorists will cross the peaceful Fisher River and the Mitchell River before heading east to the Town of Dobson.  Continuing the drive south down through the community of Rockford, the route crosses the majestic Yadkin River, traveling down to Yadkinville, looping around back up through the towns of Jonesville and Elkin.
